Car fire spreads to house in Jackson Center

UPDATE @3:06 a.m.

A house fire in Jackson Center Wednesday evening started when a car parked in the garage caught fire, authorities said.

The fire then spread to the house.

No injuries were reported, and the house sustained heavy damage.

FIRST REPORT

Crews remain on the scene of a dwelling fire in the 200 block of Robb Street in Jackson Center, Shelby County.

The Jackson Center Fire Department was dispatched about 10:15 p.m. on a report of a fire in an attached garage of a two-story dwelling.
