Plenty of sunshine as warming trend continues into weekend

Skies will be mainly clear through the evening with temperatures falling through the 60s, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said.

DETAILED FORECAST

Overnight: There will be a few clouds during the overnight hours, but it will stay quiet with lows near 50 degrees. Some spots may dip into the upper 40s by sunrise.

Friday: After a cool start with temperatures in the 50s, the afternoon will be warm with bright skies and highs in the mid-70s. Mainly clear skies continue into the evening with temperatures falling through the 60s. Cool but nice weather is expected for Touchdown7 football games.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and warm weather starts the weekend. It will be more than 10 degrees above normal with highs pushing into the upper 70s.

Sunday: Sunshine will give way to clouds in the afternoon as a cold front approaches from the northeast. It becomes breezy ahead of the front, but warm with highs in the middle 70s. the chance for showers will increase into the late evening and overnight.

Monday: Mostly cloudy and cooler conditions are expected with a few passing showers. Highs will be in the upper 60s.

Tuesday: Clouds linger with a few more passing showers possible. It will still be breezy and much cooler with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.
